Some other combat mod I used a long time ago (Deadly combat perhaps?) just put the same line that you posted on the oldrim wintermyst page in regards to Summermyst on the wildcat page and link to Smilodon, and put wildcat to rest. The staggering forces me to be extra careful without guaranteeing death if it does actually happen, which I feel is the issue with injuries, mainly the paralyze injury. I like what you mentioned about injuries adding diversity to combat.

One nitpick though, timed blocking would feel a lot more natural to me if the timed block window started at the start of the blocking animation (where your ability to block starts), instead of at the end of it. I'm tempted to just pave over Wildcat and continue with Smilodon. Smilodon is very similar to wildcat though. They were good, but they were too noisy (too many visual effect cues), and I never liked injury systems. They both make combat more difficult. I believe some of the values are different though, because Smilodon was made from the ground up.
