Some other combat mod I used a long time ago (Deadly combat perhaps?) just put the same line that you posted on the oldrim wintermyst page in regards to Summermyst on the wildcat page and link to Smilodon, and put wildcat to rest. The staggering forces me to be extra careful without guaranteeing death if it does actually happen, which I feel is the issue with injuries, mainly the paralyze injury. I like what you mentioned about injuries adding diversity to combat.

One nitpick though, timed blocking would feel a lot more natural to me if the timed block window started at the start of the blocking animation (where your ability to block starts), instead of at the end of it. Having two mods that do similar things is stupid, and Wildcat is still as controversial as ever.

This is a subreddit dedicated to discussion of Skyrim mods created by EnaiSiaion, such as Ordinator, Apocalypse, Sacrosanct, and many more amazing mods. I like Wildcat, I use the injury system religiously. If you start your block right after the enemy starts his attack, the attack hits before your block animation finishes, and though you block the attack, it doesn't count as a timed block.

One thing i liked more about smilodon is how it handles the issue of really strong enemy archers. I cant marry her. We ask that you please take a minute to read through the rules and check out the resources provided before creating a post, especially if you are new here. I may have to try Wildcat and Smilodon. Smilodon has all the things I liked about Wildcat, and it maintains some stagger, but I can block hits again. Edit: To the person who suggested Smilodon better fits console players, burst-stagger can't be enabled on consoles so that's certainly not applicable. I just ask that if you decide to discontinue Wildcat that you please either leave the last version up with a note of zero support provided, or you give us notice before pulling it from distribution. Anyone use them? Wildcat almost makes the game too fast with this substantial damage bonus, in addition to the attacks of opportunity, which are the same on both. Getting injured should cause the player to reconsider their tactics and figure out contingency plans. I feel like you should just adapt your playstyle at low levels to accommodate all the hardcore features until you reach the point where your character is so OP it barely matters, not just give yourself a crutch because the game's gotten too easy. Faster animations can mitigate this to a point.

I use Ordinator, so I don't need a separate combat mod for timed blocking. It has the same customisability of Wildcat, just with no stunlocking. Yes. Wildcat also increases the rate of combat skills because combat doesn't last as long. Probably not wise, but i keep Wildcat below Smilodon in my load order just for the wound system. Value tweaks, situational attack multipliers. I prefer Wildcat, once it's activated and click yes to everything and put the difficulty to Master since the way it's scripted Legendary is weaker:-}, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.
